I wish for dissociation;
to fall away from this Hell and watch from the fog.
Like a moth outside a lantern, watching the flame from
a fickle distance.
I long for anonymity; for faceless recognition
among the hordes of my soulless companions,
bumbling about in predictable blindness.
I hope for a tearless night; where the ghosts cease
tearing at my window, and the ghouls do not pull
at my nails beneath the sheets.
